Empowering Women
Naomi’s focus is undoubtedly on women as she pursues the life concept of wanting to be a blessing to others. Having trouble finding competent women for key roles in her present company, she will, however, hire women wherever she can, including in accounting roles.
Not at a loss, she sought other ways to empower women. One way she did this was by encouraging her regular masseuse, who was skilled at making chili sauce, to start a business, and it worked.
Her early traumas have partially influenced her desire to support other women. When Naomi was little, her own mother mocked fun of her and called her ‘ugly’. Her father encouraged her, saying, “We are perfect not because of our outer beauty, but because of our inner beauty.” This helped her feel more confident.

Her father’s words have stuck with her throughout her life, giving her the courage to start a business and boost her self-esteem. “I believe every woman is unique and has something she can do.” She wants other ladies to think like this.
As a female leader, she’s naturally exposed to the disparaging views of men. However, Naomi believes that every woman possesses empathy, and that’s what makes her unique and a source of strength.
Naomi Julia Soegianto has a message exclusively for Indonesian women;
“I want all Indonesian women to think about giving rather than asking. Admittedly, we have to behave according to our nature. Men are respected, but we need to see things differently. We are not supported by men. We are capable of empowering ourselves.”
